Technical Support: Analysis and Maintenance Methods for Yingtai Centrifuge Faults

Usage Precautions

1. Clean the interior and exterior of the centrifuge at least once a week with a damp soft cloth using water or a mild neutral detergent. Do not use alkaline solutions or solvents that may corrode centrifuge components. Use a cloth or tweezers to remove stains from the centrifuge chamber. Be gentle when wiping the centrifuge chamber to avoid damaging the temperature sensor inside.

2. Check the balance of the centrifuge spindle system every three months. Regularly use a level placed on the centrifuge spindle or body to check if the machine is level. If it is not level, adjust it accordingly.

3. If the centrifuge is moved to a new location, re-level the instrument.

4. Check every three months to ensure the rotational speed matches the displayed value on the screen.

5. Operate the centrifuge at least once a week by running a rotor at low speed to ensure it functions correctly.

6. Before use, check for cracks in the centrifuge tubes. Do not use tubes with cracks. If a tube breaks during centrifugation, causing significant vibration, stop the machine immediately and address the issue.

7. Before each use, inspect the rotor for corrosion or fine cracks. Do not use corroded or cracked rotors.

8. Do not use rotors beyond their rated lifespan to avoid the risk of rotor fracture.

9. After centrifugation, remove the rotor from the chamber, clean it with a neutral detergent, dry it, and store it inverted in a dry, ventilated place. Do not use non-neutral cleaners or heat to dry the rotor. Apply a small amount of lubricant or medical petroleum jelly to the rotor's central hole to protect it from corrosion and extend its lifespan. If the centrifuge will not be used for a short period, keep the lid open to maintain a dry chamber.

10. If the instrument will not be used for an extended period or during maintenance, unplug the main power to prevent electrical hazards, especially during repairs.

11. When not in use, remove the rotor from the centrifuge chamber; do not store it inside the chamber.
