Yingtai: Common Troubleshooting Methods for High-Speed Refrigerated Centrifuge

High-speed refrigerated centrifuges may encounter some common faults during use. Here are the three most common faults and their solutions:

Motor Failure to Start

Causes: The main power indicator light is not on, the fuse is blown, there is a poor connection in the power cord, the carbon brushes are excessively worn, or the oil pressure is too high.

Solutions: Check the indicator light fuses and the circuit breakers in the distribution board, replace the fuses, and maintain the circuit open; inspect the wear of the carbon brushes, and if they are worn more than one-third of their total length, replace them with new ones in a timely manner; check if any oil passages are blocked, especially whether the throttle holes are unobstructed, and if not, clean them to ensure smoothness.

Poor Startup and Cooling Performance

Causes: The power supply is not connected, the voltage is too low, the electrical line capacity is insufficient, there is poor ventilation, the centrifuge tubes have unbalanced weights, there are foreign objects in the rotor holes, the upper fixed nut on the shaft is loose, the shaft is frictional or bent, the motor rotor is not centered in the magnetic field, or the rotor itself is damaged.

Solutions: Check the power supply and fuses; increase the voltage or replace the electrical lines; improve ventilation conditions and regularly clean the heat sink; balance the weight of the centrifuge tubes and correctly place items in the rotor holes; tighten the upper fixed nut on the shaft, inspect and repair the shaft; adjust the position of the motor rotor and repair or replace the damaged rotor.

Damaged or Obstructed Bearings

Causes: The bearings are lacking oil or are dirty, and the frictional resistance is increased.

Solutions: Clean or replace the bearings in a timely manner to maintain their lubrication.

These are the three common faults of high-speed refrigerated centrifuges and their solutions. Hopefully, this is helpful to you. If you are unsure how to handle these faults, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel for assistance.
