Yingtai Freeze Dyrer Technical Q&A
Your Freeze-Drying Expert is Here!
Why can your freeze dryer’s condenser temperature reach lower levels compared to the common market ones with -55°C and -85°C?
Yingtai freeze dryers can achieve condenser temperatures of ≤-70°C and ≤-90°C mainly due to two reasons:
1. Self-developed refrigerant mix ratio technology;
2. Cascade refrigeration system. The efficient combination of these two results in higher and more reliable cooling efficiency.
What’s different about the Pirani vacuum sensor with an automatic temperature compensation unit?
Freeze-drying is carried out at low temperatures, where most electronic components can easily fail or get damaged, affecting data stability and machine lifespan. The Hallan Pirani vacuum sensor features a temperature compensation algorithm that corrects for environmental temperature interference, ensuring the experimental data remains accurate and valid.
Is it necessary to use a high vacuum control solenoid valve during freeze-drying?
During freeze-drying, the vacuum level is generally set between 0.1 to 0.3 mbar. Exceeding 0.3 mbar might cause the product to melt, while falling below 0.1 mbar is not conducive to heat transfer and can actually reduce the sublimation rate. Therefore, a high vacuum control solenoid valve is needed to maintain a good and stable vacuum level in the freeze-drying chamber.
Which is better: a coil-type condenser or a smooth-surface condenser?
Compared to smooth-surface condensers (indirect ice capture), coil-type condensers (direct ice capture) are more efficient at capturing ice. They also provide more accurate temperature detection and effectively protect the internal structure of the equipment from damage caused by dripping condensate.
Can the acrylic dome be made of lighter material?
Yingtai freeze dryers use high-transparency acrylic domes. These domes have a certain weight, which, when placed stably, effectively prevent sealing issues and better maintain the vacuum level in the chamber.
