In the medical device production chain, the tube sealer is a key equipment to ensure the sterile state of products. It melts and seals packaging materials (such as medical composite films and aluminum-plastic films) through heating and pressure, effectively isolating external microorganisms and impurities. Three core parameters must be strictly controlled when operating the tube sealer. The temperature control should be adjusted according to the characteristics of the packaging material. For example, the heat-sealing temperature of composite films is usually 120℃-180℃, and that of aluminum-plastic films needs to be increased to 180℃-220℃ to avoid insufficient sealing due to too low temperature or material damage due to too high temperature. The pressure setting should be uniform, generally maintained at 0.3MPa-0.6MPa to ensure consistent force on the sealing surface. The heat-sealing time should be accurate, and most medical device packaging is controlled within 1-3 seconds to prevent material aging caused by too long time. During operation, the sealing effect must be tested through test sealing, and mass production can be carried out only after the peel strength and sealing performance meet the standards.
Daily maintenance is the guarantee for the stable operation of the tube sealer. After each use, the heat-sealing knife and pressing silicone strip should be wiped with a high-temperature resistant cleaning cloth to remove residual molten materials and prevent leakage during the next heat-sealing. The flatness of the heat-sealing knife should be checked every week. If the knife edge is worn or deformed, it should be polished or replaced in time. Lubricating oil should be added to the transmission system of the equipment every month to ensure smooth pressing action. The temperature sensor and pressure gauge should be calibrated every quarter to ensure accurate parameter display.
Compared with the traditional manual sealing method, the tube sealer has the advantages of high sealing efficiency, strong consistency and good compliance, and can meet the strict GMP standards of the medical device industry. With the improvement of the medical industry's requirements for packaging safety, tube sealers with intelligent temperature control, automatic fault alarm and data traceability functions have become important equipment for medical device manufacturers to ensure product quality.
